BACKGROUND
Rural and tribal regions of Maharashtra, despite their rich cultural heritage and resource potential, often struggle with limited access to education, skill development, and economic opportunities. These challenges result in high unemployment rates and migration to urban areas in search of better prospects. The EEDC project aims to address these issues by creating a supportive ecosystem that nurtures entrepreneurship, enhances employment opportunities, and improves the overall welfare of the community.
Objective
The primary objectives of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EEDC) are to empower rural startups by providing comprehensive support from ideation to business scaling, to offer industry-relevant skill development and job placement for youth, and to implement welfare programs that address the specific needs of youth, women, and children, promoting their overall well-being.
